A house construction plan needs more than a floor plan and a contractor’s quotation. Before mobilising labour or ordering materials, check the approval documents, plot demarcation and arrangements needed to run the site.

DHA Multan publishes separate checklists for these stages. Reviewing them early helps owners identify missing documents before work is scheduled.

Building in DHA Multan? Five checks before you start: approval file, coordinated drawings, plot demarcation, site readiness, and written scope. Plan first. Build with control.

1. Prepare the drawing approval file

DHA’s published residential checklist includes the owner’s identity documents, allotment or transfer letter, possession letter or site plan, paid drawing scrutiny challan, professional certificates and soil investigation report.

It also lists architectural and structural drawings, elevation images, digital files, signatures and applicable undertakings.

2. Coordinate architecture, structure and services

DHA’s drawing procedure covers architectural plans, structural and MEP information, plot dimensions, building levels, tanks and service connection details.

3. Check demarcation separately

DHA’s demarcation checklist includes finance clearance, the drawing approval letter, prescribed forms, possession payment evidence and site arrangement undertakings. Additional requirements apply to basements.

The document states that demarcation is valid for one month if construction has not commenced.

4. Plan site facilities and utilities

Confirm construction water, power arrangements, worker facilities, material storage and access before mobilisation.

Do not assume a permanent connection is available simply because a sector is developed. DHA’s published permanent water and sewer checklist includes a completion certificate and a site inspection before connection recommendations.

5. Agree the execution scope

Before signing a construction agreement, record the specifications, inclusions, exclusions, payment stages and responsibilities for approvals and utilities.

Ask one final question: Do our documents, drawings, site arrangements and agreed scope support the same construction plan?
